Rosary of The Holy Wounds
Lord Jesus of the Holy Wounds, My God and My Lord, My Brother, I believe that You are here. I believe that You are listening to me — I know You are.
You also said, in Jeremiah 29: I know the plans I have for you, plans of prosperity and not of disaster, to give you a future and a hope. You will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart.
Brief Acts of Faith, Hope, and Charity
O my God, I believe in You, because You are the eternal truth; increase my faith.
O my God, I hope in You, because You are infinitely faithful to Your promises; strengthen my hope.
O my God, I love You, because You are infinitely lovable; enkindle my love.
In this faith, this hope, and this love I wish to live and die. Amen.
Act of Contrition
O my Lord Jesus Christ, true God and true Man, my Creator and Redeemer, because You are who You are, supremely good and worthy of being loved above all things, and because I love and esteem You, I am heartily sorry, Lord, for having offended You; I am sorry, too, for having lost Heaven and deserved hell; and I firmly resolve, with the help of Your divine grace, to amend my life and never to offend You again, and I hope to obtain the pardon of my sins through Your infinite mercy. Amen.
Offering
Most Holy Trinity, in union with Jesus Christ, I come before You to pray the Rosary of the Holy Wounds for the intentions of all humanity, especially for sinners, heretics, and schismatics; for the Catholic clergy formed under Pope Leo XIV, for the Bishops, Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Seminarians; for those who are devout and faithful to You; for unbelievers and those who do not yet know Jesus; for the meek and humble, especially small children and those conceived through rape, that they may be welcomed and loved; for unborn and aborted babies; for victims of sexual crimes; for orphans and widows; for those imprisoned for crimes committed, that they may repent of their sins and return to the bosom of the Holy Catholic Church; for doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers; for those who have mistreated, mistreat, and persecute me; for my chastity and resistance to impurity of soul and body; for the forgiveness of my mortal and venial sins; for the healing of my mental and physical illnesses; for those who suffer from headaches, hemorrhages, alcoholism, and mental illness; for those who particularly love the Holy Wounds and the Sacred Heart; for devotees of the Blessed Virgin Mary, of Saint Joseph, and of Sister Mary Martha Chambon; for the souls in Purgatory; for the intentions of the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV; and for the lukewarm faithful and those indifferent to the Catholic Faith. And I especially ask You for the following graces, through the merits of the Holy Wounds and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Most Chaste Heart of Saint Joseph:
(Mention your petitions here)
Amen!
By the Sign of the Holy Cross, deliver us, O Lord our God, from our enemies. In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
(Take the Crucifix of the Rosary and hold it while praying): O Jesus, Divine Redeemer, be merciful, have pity on us and on the whole world. R. Amen! (Kiss the Crucifix)
1st bead: Holy God, Strong God, Immortal God, have mercy on us and on the whole world. R. Amen!
2nd bead: Grace and mercy, O my Jesus, in this present danger; cover us with Your Precious Blood. R. Amen!

By the Sign of the Holy Cross, deliver us, O Lord our God, from our enemies. In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Pray: O Jesus, who through Your Holy Wounds suffered out of love for me, I honor and adore Your Sacred Wounds, which are the source of my redemption and of the infinite mercy You have for me. May all the promises You made to Sister Mary Martha Chambon concerning devotion to the Holy Wounds be fulfilled in my life through the power of Your Holy Wounds. Grant me the grace always to meditate on Your suffering, the courage to follow in Your footsteps, and the strength to transform my life according to Your Will. Amen!
Then pray the Prayer to Sister Mary Martha Chambon:
Eternal Father, I offer You the Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ. R. To heal the wounds of our souls.
My Jesus, pardon and mercy. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds.
Lord Jesus, deign to glorify Your servant, Sister Mary Martha Chambon, who glorified You through her humility and her zeal in cherishing, with such love, the merits of Your Holy Wounds.
Holy Trinity, through the merits of the Holy Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ and through the intercession of Your servant Sister Mary Martha Chambon, grant me (mention your petitions here), and I promise, as thanksgiving for this grace obtained, to spread the Rosary of the Holy Wounds and the Prayer to Sister Mary Martha Chambon in support of her canonization. Amen.
Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, and 1 Glory Be (Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen)
Now, you will read the following information and begin the Prayer of the Promises:
The Promises reflect the generosity of God toward those who practice and spread this devotion.
This devotion to the Holy Wounds, along with the following promises, was revealed by Our Lord to Sister Mary Martha Chambon (1841–1907) of the Visitation Monastery of Chambéry, France. The cause for her beatification was introduced in 1937.
Promises of Our Lord Jesus Christ:
- For every word of the Rosary of the Holy Wounds that you say, I allow a drop of My Blood to fall upon the soul of a sinner. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, do this in the lives of sinners!
- Each time you offer My Father the merits of My Divine Wounds, you gain an immense treasure. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- The souls who contemplate and honor My crown of thorns on earth will be My crown of glory in Heaven. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- I will grant everything that is asked of Me through the invocation of My Holy Wounds. You will obtain everything, because it is through the merits of My Blood, which has infinite value. With My Wounds and My Divine Heart, all things can be obtained. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- From My Wounds proceed the fruits of holiness. Just as gold purified in the crucible becomes more beautiful, so you must place your soul and the souls of your companions in My Sacred Wounds; there they will become perfect, like gold in the furnace. You can always purify yourself in My Wounds. R. O Jesus, I place myself within Your Holy Wounds, together with Pope Leo XIV, my family members with whom I have a good relationship, and also my friends and companions, that we may choose the path of true Life and be purified of our sins within Your Holy Wounds. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, do this in our lives! 🇻🇦
- My Wounds will repair yours. My Wounds will cover all your faults. Those who honor them will have a true knowledge of Me. In meditating on them, you will always find a new love. My Wounds will cover all your sins. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- Offer Me your actions united to My Wounds, and they will have value. All your actions, even the smallest, steeped in My Blood, will acquire incomprehensible riches, infinite merit, and will please My Heart. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- When you offer My Wounds for the conversion of sinners, even if the sinners are not converted, you will have the same merit before God as if they had been converted. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- When you have some pain, something to suffer, quickly place it in My Wounds, and the pain will be eased. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- This aspiration should be frequently repeated near the sick: "My Jesus, pardon and mercy, through the merits of Your Holy Wounds!" This prayer will bring relief to soul and body. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- The sinner who says the following prayer: "Eternal Father, I offer You the Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ, to heal the wounds of our souls," will obtain conversion. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- There will be no death for the soul that breathes its last within My Holy Wounds; they give true life. The way to My Holy Wounds is easy, as easy as the way to reach Heaven. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- This Rosary is a counterweight to My justice; it holds back My vengeance. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- The soul that prays with humility and meditates on My Passion will one day share in the glory of My Divine Wounds. Such souls will be crowned with radiant beauty and glory. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- The more you have contemplated My sorrowful Wounds on this earth, the greater will be your contemplation of them in glory in Heaven. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- The soul who, during life, has honored the Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ and offered them to the Eternal Father for the souls in Purgatory, will be accompanied at the moment of death by the Holy Virgin and the angels; and Our Lord on the Cross, resplendent with glory, will receive and crown that soul. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- The invocations of the Holy Wounds will obtain unceasing victory for the Church. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, make them fruitful in my life and in that of the whole Church!
- The Holy Wounds are the "Treasure of Treasures" for the souls in Purgatory. R. Through the merits of Your Holy Wounds, O Jesus, inexhaustible fountain of mercy and grace, I offer You this Rosary which I have just prayed in suffrage for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Make it fruitful for these souls who suffer and wait, that, purified by the fire of Your love, they may soon attain the glory they so greatly desire. Deliver, Lord, especially those who are already closest to leaving that place of expiation, that once in the eternal possession of Your Face, they may intercede without ceasing for me, a sinner, and for the whole Holy Church — militant, suffering, and triumphant — until we are all one flock under one Shepherd, in everlasting blessedness.
By the Sign of the Holy Cross, deliver us, O Lord our God, from our enemies. In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
